Agora is the UK’s open forum for foreign policy. We’re a British think tank but, unlike others focused on foreign policy, we take an open-source approach to our work, welcoming contributors from beyond the traditional fields of politics and international relations.

We’re widening discussions about foreign policy in the UK, promoting new voices, increasing public understanding and identifying original ideas and policy recommendations.

We first began in London in 2017. Since then we have grown in size and scope, opening groups in Oxford and Belfast. Our community comes from a diverse range of professional, academic, and personal backgrounds. What we all share, though, is the desire to make a meaningful contribution to discussions about international affairs.

What’s more, we’re not alone. We are part of a wider international network of organisations working to make foreign policy accessible to all. Together we are producing innovative and original work, giving people a channel through which to develop their ideas.

If you want to know more about us, have a look at our founding narrative. For regular updates make sure to follow us on social media, and if you want to know anything else, just get in touch with us!
