Global rearmament in the post-Cold War world has been allowed to advance unchecked and un-scrutinised. It rarely makes the headlines, unless it involves those nations who use military authority as a means to project strength when they feel insecure. Had rearmament been noted and acted upon, perhaps the instability of today’s world could have been mitigated against.
